Strut Your Stuff Talent Show      Home

The Town of Oyster Bay Arts Council’s annual STRUT YOUR STUFF TALENT COMPETITION was held at the Long Island High School for the Arts on Friday, February 29th and Saturday, March 1st. Over 190 students participated in this event, providing wonderful performances in the categories of vocal, dance, theatre, instrumental and magic.  All of the individuals and group performers (grades K-12) shared their talent, imagination and enthusiasm providing exciting entertainment. First place winner of the $200 U.S. Savings Bond was Claire Murphy, age 17 (vocal).  The winners of the $100 U.S. Savings Bonds include: Brittany Carter age 17 (vocal);  Dan Papa, age 14, (instrumental); Allyson Tsu, age 11, (piano); Gyuri Lee, age 9, (violin); Gabrielle Martin, age 8, (vocal); Simrat Kaur, age 10, (dance);

Ritayan Chakraborty, age 10, (vocal) and Maxwell Herman, age 8, (vocal.)  The U.S. Savings Bonds were presented at the Town of Oyster Bay Arts Council’s Awards and Reception Ceremony on Sunday, April 6, 2008, 2PM, at the Long Island High School for the Arts, 239 Cold Spring Road, Syosset.
