The Town of Oyster Bay Arts Council awards scholarships annually, to high school seniors who are pursuing their education in the arts. The following students are the 2008 scholarships winners:  Delaney Page, Long Island Lutheran High School, cello; Tyler Lee, Long Island High School for the Arts (LISHA) / Merrick School District, vocal;  Joseph Wegmann, LISHA / Huntington School District, theatre; Jennifer Austin, Hicksville High School, vocal; Annanda Carmody, LISHA, dance; Vanessa Ferranti, Our Lady of Mercy Academy, dance; Dee Brown, LISHA / Long Beach School District, gospel vocal.  The following students are winners of visual arts scholarships:

 Michelle Noriega, LISHA / Roosevelt School District,; Jae Lee, Hicksville High School; Jeong Woo Kim, Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf and Natalie Mestel, Syosset High School,   Christopher Belfiore, Oyster Bay High School
