 Talent Competition

 

The Town of Oyster Bay Arts Council's Annual TALENT COMPETITION was held at the Nassau BOCES Long Island High School for the Arts (LIHSA) on Saturday, March 6, 2010.   Over 110 students provided inspiring performances in vocal and instrumental music, dance, theatre, drama and magic.  All of the individudal and group performers (grades K - 12) shared their talent, imagination and enthusiasm providing an exciting day of entertainment.  The first place winner of the $200 U.S. Savings Bond was Leandra McNair, age 17 (vocal), LHISA). 

 

The winners of the $100 U.S. Savings bond include: Hyunkee Sung, age 14 (piano), Syosset, Brooke Demetri, age 11, (vocal), Glenwood Landing, Cameron Zandieh, age 10, (violin), Muttontown, Madison Ostrich, age 11 and Gabby Cicio, age 13 (dance duo), Jericho, rock band members, Brian D'Addario, age 12 (guitar), Michael D'Addario, age 10, (drums), Anthony Ayala, age 12 (keyboard), Thomas Murphy, age 12 (bass guitar), all from Hicksvile and Charlie Lubin, age 11 (vocal) from Oyster Bay.

 

The winners will receive their awards at the Town of Oyster Bay's Annual Awards and Reception Ceremony on Sunday, April 25, 2010, 12 noon at the Long Island High School for the Arts.   All Talent Competition participants will be acknowledged.
